Math: Today in class students added decimals by converting them to fractions. They are working diligently to apply all the skills they have learned this year in a variety of ways which demonstrates a deeper level of understanding.
Language Arts: Students worked on comprehension questions and vocabulary for Get a Grip and The Yard. They should complete questions if they didn't get all the work done in class. We are setting up a Skype visit with a nearby classroom that is currently hatching eggs. We will have an opportunity to ask this class about their experience.
Science: Students had work time for their desert creature.
Mod 3: Students watched a Bill Nye video about rivers and streams. We are continuing with our study of ecosystems in preparation for our garden unit.
Social Studies: Students completed comprehension questions about the Holocaust reading we finished. We will be watching the Irene Sendler video early next week. We will focus on elements of hope, despair, resilience, courage, and resourcefulness in relation to her story.
